We made our first trip Scotland a couple of years ago. It was my good fortune to come across Clans and Castles website. I contacted them and told them I wanted to set up a trip to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. I explained that in addition to touring Scotland for the first time we also wanted visit the areas where my wife's grandparents were from. Clans and Castles took my request and turned into a most memorable vacation.
"When we returned my wife showed her sister the pictures of the ancestral home and they decided they just had to see Scotland together. I contacted Alastair and asked him to set up the tour for us. We wanted to not only visit the ancestral home but wanted to go inside castle if possible. I didn't think Alastair could improve on our first trip but he did. Every place we stayed was just superb. Not only did the wives get to go inside the castle but the current owners gave us a tour and spent more than two hours telling us the history of the property. This vacation was a smashing success.
